How much research do you do before writing the book?
Compiling my poems in form of book was completely different from spontaneously writing a poem. I went to book stores, libraries to find poetry books. I found very few poetry books. They were mostly translated anthologies from regional languages. Book stores had mostly classics like Robert Frost, Shakespeare and few translated poetry books by Gulzar, Javed Akhtar etc. So I went online and read poetry books.
I also did lot of research on illustrations. I have put a lot of hard work in sketching too. I researched about the title Philia and Sophia. Philia is actually ‘love’ in greek philosophy. There are four kinds of love, Agape Philia Eros and and Storge.

Just like the title suggests Philia and Sophia is a compilation of poems and writings on love and wisdom. The compilation consists of well-crafted poems written in diamante, haiku, sonnet and free style of poetry. Philia is a set of heart touching poems with ubiquitous themes like proposal, betrayal and memories of love. Sophia on the other hand leaves the reader with a message, a moral and inspiration for better living. Sophia makes the reader really think and Philia makes the reader feel. Philia and Sophia intend to touch the heart, soul and stir deep thoughts
The book Philia and Sophia, derived from Greek words, ‘Philia’ literal meaning love and ‘Sophia’ meaning wisdom. Although Philia is often seen as friendship or fondness,
