What inspired you to start writing?

Finding a whole new world while reading made me think of taking my hobby of reading a step further and so I decided to make it big and hence started writing.

What did you like to read when you were a boy?

Basically I was more inclined towards science and technology but the first book which I picked up was of Sherlock Holmes and since then I have always been pushing myself to write.

What is the greatest challenge in writing a book?

Suppose you have the plot, the research done and you are all set to write but when you do so, you feel short of words to describe the things and you have already written more than half. This was the greatest challenge I particularly felt.

How much research do you do before writing the book?

Writing a romance comes from the heart and not the mind but yes a bit of research is always needed to be more on the realistic side of your work.

What motivated you to write the book “Love Story? Seroiusly!”?

Ans- The motivation was always there since I had picked up the first book to read but I was lacking a good story. I had to wait for a long time but then my life and the events happening around automatically cooked up the story for me. I just penned it down.

Can you tell us more about your latest book “Love Story Seroiusly”?

All the love stories that you read feels good but at some point it is just made up and then penned and it does have some end to it. There are some stories that are never complete and that’s all it is about. My protagonist Samar falls in love solemnly but is rejected and sometimes cheated, therefore he loses faith in love but he also firmly believes that someday love will come to him to stay forever. In the interim he is forcefully married to a girl whom he doesn’t like at all. There are a lot of confusion and commotion and their relationship never steps ahead. Then the change of events take place and he realizes indeed this is the love he has been longing for all his life and wants to end the hatred that exists between the two but life plays another trick and he discovers he is a patient of cancer. Indeed more closer to death than life. What will he do now? Will he confess or will he die a loner? A loner in life and a loner in death, is that what it is going to be ?

Who are your favourite authors?

Ashwin Sanghi is my favourate and Agatha Christie too.

How much time do you dedicate to writing on a daily basis?

Sometimes the whole day and sometimes not even a single minute. Actually I write only when something urges me from within to write and that’s when the best comes out.

What words of wisdom would you like to give to aspiring writers?

Do not fear from writing your first book just because you feel you do not have a good story. You are no one to judge your story let the readers do it and they can only judge if you write. So keep writing. All the best to those who are yet to write their first.
