What inspired you to start writing?

I never planned on becoming a writer, but this story inspired me to write. I always wanted to do something against the brutality met by women, so when this story came to my mind, I had to write it.

What did you like to read when you were a boy?

I started reading books as a hobby around 5-6 years ago and in those days, I mainly liked reading romantic novels.

What is the greatest challenge in writing a book?

I believe that different authors will have different answer to this question. So for me, the greatest challenge is to find a good story. Once you have the story, the rest of the work can be done.

How much research do you do before writing the book?

There is no set rules about the research I do. It all depends on the topic I am writing and my knowledge about that topic.

What motivated you to write the book “The Unknown”?

It might sound foolish but the story itself motivated me. Frankly saying, I am very confident about my story and I dont really remember that when and how it came to me. It just came, and since that day, I have given my 100 percent to turn it into a book.

Can you tell us more about your latest book “The Unknown”?

The Unknown” is the story of a guy named Chetan, who changed from a fun loving boy to a serious young man, after his girlfriend Misha was raped and killed by some men. After she was killed, his life’s main motive was the empowerment of women and to create a safe environment for them.
On the other side, a news channel is getting some videos which shows the brutality committed by an unknown masked man on some poor workers. So what happens with those workers and what happens with Chetan’s life is all “The Unknown” talks about.

How did you came up with the idea of writing mystery fiction genre book?

As I said earlier, I had not planned on writing anything in particular. It was this story and the message associated with it which made me write this book. So I wrote mystery fiction because this is what the story required.

Who are your favourite authors?

In Indian authors, Novoneel chakraborty is my favourite. I just love all his books. From the foreign authors which I have read, I admire Dan Brown and Nicholas Sparks.

How much time do you dedicate for writing on a daily basis?

I don’t write on a daily basis. I believe that one should try to write only when he/she has proper material in his/her mind.

What words of wisdom would you like to give to aspiring writers?

All I want to say is read as much as u can. Reading your favorites is your taste, your hobby. But flipping the pages of different authors from different genres is necessary as it gives you a wide perspective.
