What is the greatest challenge in writing a book?
The challenge faced by me was to keep it gripping yet simple and as easy to comprehend. I wanted the readers to relate to it, understand it and enjoy it. The subject is intriguing, controversial and little is known about it hence facts had to be presented in a contemporary way that the readers are able to relate to it.
How much research do you do before writing the book?
Books like these have to be researched through practice and life. “the tantric curse” is my first book as of now. I have dedicated my life to Tantra under the guidance of my Guruji to be able to write a fiction book on it.
What motivated you to write the book “The Tantric Curse”?
The fact that Tantra is misunderstood and maligned, without anyone actually knowing what it is was the reason why my Guru suggested me to write on it.
Can you tell us more about your latest book “The Tantric Curse”?
The book throws light on the principles of Tantra. Tantra is a field that is largely unknown, hence misunderstood and misrepresented. It is passed on through the age-old Guru (teacher) shishya (disciple) system and is imperative that it goes into worthy hands. Like every kind of power, it too has the potential to be misused. The book, through its central characters, takes the readers into the world of authentic Tantra giving an un-bashed account of the dark and light in Tantra. It is an intense and passionate love story, inspirational handbook of life explaining the principles of Tantra all rolled in one. It is gripping set in present-day and is fast paced.
How did you come up with the idea of writing fiction genre book?
The idea to write it as a work of fiction was to make it an interesting read and reach out to the common man. The idea was to introduce the true face of Tantra.
Who are your favourite authors?
I read whatever catches my attention irrespective of whose written it. I choose a book depending on the kind of flow and mood I am in.
How much time do you dedicate to writing on a daily basis?
I don’t really consider myself a writer and I do not write daily. I write when I feel like it. I however try and read every day.
What words of wisdom would you like to give to aspiring writers?
Whatever you write keep it simple and meaningful.
